It is a great honour to write this for Odette Smith as I believe that she was instrumental in my recovery from the dark world of depression.This is my story:-
Eighteen months ago I was diagnosed with clinical depression. I had trouble just doing simple things such as getting out of bed and facing another day. It seemed that my whole world was so negative and I was surrounded in a heavy grey fog. To me, it just seemed that life was just too hard.
With the help of medication and my Christian faith, I held on to life but it was such a hard journey that I could not do it alone.
I believe that God provided me with Odette at the right time and with her weekly Life Coaching sessions I became more confident and found a better perspective on my life. With her wisdom in counselling and putting her strategies into practice, she gave me the rope and showed me how to pull myself up out of the pit that I had buried myself into. I owe Odette my life!
Today, I am excited to say that I love every precious moment of my life. I am blessed with a wonderful family and have a very successful business. I was even given the award for the top of my field last year!
